for poster 1, the concept is "frozen time" so I create ice cubes like in Antarctica and made the model a bit frosted in photoshop.
poster two is the same concept with icicles.

My artist is a Japanese Photographer - Araki Nobuyoshi.
inspired by some of his artwork (below)

He said that "photograph is to stop time" this is also my concept of the model.
I want to create individual moments for my artist. So I use boxes to represent it.

Model it_Fisher house 1:50

 

 

 

This fisher house is a really time-consuming task, seriously 50-60 hours.

Steps of making it.

1. print down fisher house in 1:50 scale, or calculate it.

2. cut all the components (walls, stairs, corners, chimney)

3. cut the windows (look through the elevations)

4. glue everything together

5. construct the roof

6. detailing the rest

The base of the fisher house use thicker balsa wood, so it really have the feeling of a heavy base.

My model I left every components really clean and every inner wall is in 90 degrees

Model it_ Fisher house site model

 

For the fisher house site model, my design is more abstract, I used strips of balsa wood to create the trees, and used a dark brown water colour pencil to colour the river. 

My site model is also light, i have made it hollow, but be careful where the house should be left in, there should not be hollow spaces. 

Sand down all the woods, sand through the slope to create a neat and detailed feeling of the site model.

I used water colour pencil and coloured it on sketching paper to represent water.

I used plain sketching paper for the glass.

and be remember to sand down all the edges and be really careful on the stairs.

Try to be clean and neat.

I chose black and white rendering for my fisher house, after looking through the different rendering techniques, i chose ink-line rendering.

I like the simple and clean rendering.
